Comrade Nina interviews Belarusian patriot Ekaterina, discussing the recent attempt to oust Belarus’s President Alexander Lukashenko and replace him with the western-backed comprador Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
Ekaterina explains how the opposition has little support in the country, representing only a tiny minority of the population. She says that support for Lukashenko has been strengthened in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, which effected Belarus very little.
Ekaterina reiterates that the elections were free and fair and the lies spread by the OECD and corporate media bear no resemblance to reality. The opposition, she explains, has put forward policies that undermine the long-established and strong relationship between Belarus and Russia, which are supported by the majority of Belarusians.
Ekaterina concludes by explaining the historic root of the reactionary white-red-white flag that has been resurrected by the opposition.
